Home battery storage costs continue their downward trend, with average installed costs dropping below $900 per kWh in early 2026. This represents a 15% decline from the previous year and a nearly 50% reduction from 2020 prices. The declining costs are driven by manufacturing scale, competition from new market entrants, and improvements in lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery chemistry.
